Micura Services Limited ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit

Micura Services Limited (MSL) has successfully concluded its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Surveillance 1 Audit, reaffirming the company’s commitment to quality management, operational efficiency and continual improvement across its operations.

The audit took place on Friday, 9 October 2026, at our company’s head office in Apapa, Lagos, as part of our ongoing efforts to maintain an effective Quality Management System and ensure that our processes remain aligned with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

The surveillance audit focused on the company’s stevedoring services and equipment leasing operations, including pay loaders and forklifts, providing an opportunity to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of our QMS within the defined audit scope. The audit examined relevant areas of our management system, including executive management, operations, information technology and human resources.

These areas are essential to ensuring that organisational processes are properly managed, responsibilities are clearly defined, resources are effectively utilised and quality objectives remain aligned with business goals.

The audit also considered the effectiveness of our management system, our operational controls, performance monitoring processes and conformity with applicable requirements. Under ISO 9001:2015, surveillance audits help assess the continuing effectiveness of a certified organisation’s Quality Management System and its ability to consistently meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

For MSL, the exercise provided an opportunity to demonstrate our approach to maintaining quality standards across our operations while identifying opportunities to strengthen existing processes.

The successful completion of the audit was supported by the cooperation of Management and staff, whose participation contributed to the smooth conduct of the exercise. In an internal appreciation memo issued on 9 October 2026, the Group Head, Human Resources and Administration, Mr. Eli Aseminachi, expressed appreciation to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Management for their leadership and support throughout the audit. He also commended staff for their cooperation and commitment, noting that the exercise was largely successful.

This collective effort reflects the importance of shared responsibility in maintaining an effective QMS. Quality management is not limited to a single department; it requires employees across the organisation to understand their responsibilities and contribute to the consistent implementation of established processes.

At Micura Services Limited, maintaining an effective Quality Management System remains an important part of the company’s approach to service delivery and operational excellence. The successful completion of the surveillance audit reinforces the importance of regularly evaluating processes, monitoring performance, maintaining operational controls and identifying opportunities for improvement.

As the company continues to provide stevedoring, equipment leasing and related maritime services, these practices remain essential to supporting reliable service delivery and meeting customer expectations. The audit also underscores the role of Management in providing leadership, ensuring the availability of appropriate resources and promoting a quality-conscious culture throughout the organisation.

Micura Services Limited appreciates the support of its Management and staff during the ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance 1 Audit. The company remains committed to strengthening its Quality Management System, improving operational processes and upholding the standards that support its services and business objectives.

For MSL, quality is an ongoing commitment. Through continued cooperation, effective management and a focus on continual improvement, the company will continue working towards greater operational efficiency and consistent service delivery.
