Micura Services Limited delivered an incredible comeback performance on Friday, November 14th, in our group-stage match against Dangote in the ongoing Maritime Cup 2025, ending the game in a hard-fought 2–2 draw, at the NIS Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere. After going two goals down in the first half, Micura showed resilience, tactical discipline, and a never-give-up spirit, proving once again that they are serious contenders in this competition.

The early moments of the match were intense, with both sides pushing aggressively for control. Dangote capitalized on two defensive lapses, scoring twice before halftime to take a 2–0 lead.

While Micura created chances, the breakthrough didn’t come, and the first half ended with the team trailing. Despite this, the energy from supporters remained electric, with singing, whistling, and encouragement keeping the morale high.

Early into the second half, attacking forward, Kehinde, broke through the Dangote defense with a clean, well-placed finish that reignited belief among the players and fans, switching the momentum instantly. Micura continued to pile on the pressure, and soon enough, midfielder, Muda, delivered the equalizing goal; a powerful and decisive strike that sent the Micura supporters into wild celebration.

From 2–0 down, Micura fought back to 2–2, proving their determination under pressure. With the draw, Micura secures 1 point, bringing the total to 5 Points, and 2nd Place in Group A. Comet currently leads the group with 9 points, having already secured their place in the quarter-finals.

Micura remains strongly positioned but the next match is crucial as we now prepare for a decisive final group-stage match against Comet on Wednesday, 19 November 2025 at NPA Sports Ground, Bode Thomas, Surulere by 3:00 PM. A win will take Micura to 8 points, securing a top-two finish and a well-deserved place in the quarter-finals.

A draw or loss would complicate qualification, making this a true must-win scenario for the MSL team. However, we say Micura is ready. Micura is focused. And Micura is not backing down.
