The 2025 Maritime Cup campaign came to an emotional close for Micura Services Limited on Wednesday, following a narrow 1–0 loss to Comet Shipping in the third-place match at the Stable, Eric Moore, Surulere.
It was a tough game that showcased the determination, discipline, and fighting spirit of our players. Despite creating several impressive attacking opportunities and maintaining strong possession throughout the match, a single second-half goal from the opposition sealed the result. While the defeat was painful, the performance of the team was nothing short of commendable.
Throughout the tournament, the Micura team demonstrated resilience, unity, and passion securing crucial victories, thrilling fans, and proving once again that we remain a strong force in the Maritime Cup competition. Although we didn’t lift the trophy this year, our journey was filled with memorable moments and exceptional teamwork.
Our Managing Director reassured the players of his pride in their performance, expressing full confidence that Micura will return even stronger in next year’s tournament. His support, encouragement, and leadership have been a great source of motivation for the entire team.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our players for giving their best from the first whistle to the last. The hard work, commitment, and professionalism exhibited throughout the competition were outstanding. Also, to the coaching & management teaam for guiding the players with strategy, discipline, and teamwork. Their leadership was instrumental in every match we played.
