At Micura Services Limited, teamwork goes beyond the office, it extends to the playing field. That’s the vision behind our Game Day initiative at the Head office, which began in February 2025 and will run until November 2025, with 10 exciting game days scheduled for the year. The ultimate goal revolves around fostering teamwork, creating bonds, and making memories outside our usual office activities.
To make things more exciting, this year’s competition comes with cash prizes:
₦1.5 Million for the 1st Place team
₦750,000 for the 2nd Place team
₦500,000 for the 3rd Place team
Our three teams – Gladiators (Team A), Warriors (Team B), and Bombers (Team C) have been giving their best month after month, competing in both indoor and outdoor games, from football, volleyball, and tennis to scrabble, snooker, foosball, ayo, and more. To ensure fairness, the competition uses a monthly ranking system:
1st Place = 10 Points
2nd Place = 5 Points
3rd Place = 0 Points
This method rewards consistency and top performance rather than just accumulating raw points. It means every Game Day matters and every win counts.
Highlights So Far: February – September 2025
February 28th: Bombers took the early lead with 190 points, followed by Gladiators (170) and Warriors (120).

March 28th: Bombers continued strong (90 points), but Warriors rose to 2nd place with 60 points, edging out Gladiators.

April 25th: Gladiators claimed their first big win with 110 points, showing strong teamwork in indoor games.

May 29th: This Game Day introduced football and volleyball. Gladiators shone with 140 points, narrowly beating Bombers (130 points).

June 26th: For the first time, Gladiators and Bombers tied at 120 points each, while Warriors managed 30. Both top teams shared 7.5 points each on the leaderboard.

July 31st: Gladiators secured another win (120 points) while Bombers held second (90 points).

August 28th: Bombers Reclaim the Top Spot with strong performances in scrabble, ayo, and draught, Bombers finished with 110 points, just ahead of Gladiators (105).

September 25th: Bombers still maintaining the Top Spot with strong performances in scrabble, foosball, and snooker, Bombers ended the games with 110 points, same as last month.

It’s still a neck-and-neck race between Bombers and Gladiators, with 10% separating them and two more months to go! The competition resumes with Game Day 9 on Thursday, October 30th, 2025. As we head into the final stretch, excitement is building. Which team will secure the grand prize? Will the Warriors stage a late comeback? Or will it be a photo finish between Gladiators and Bombers?

Beyond the points, the trophies, and even the cash prizes, Game Day at Micura is really about people. It’s about laughter shared on the sidelines, playful rivalries on the field, and the joy of celebrating wins, doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, as one team.
Game Day is also a chance to release the stress that naturally builds up in a busy workplace. With every kick of the ball or roll of the dice, employees get to clear their minds, recharge, and return to work with fresh energy.
